George Foreman is a boxing hall of famer, two time heavyweight champion, entrepreneur and is known as one of the most hard-hitting, powerful heavyweights of all time. He has achieved many feats in his lifetime and has proved many people wrong. One of the most distinct things about Foreman was his longevity as a professional boxer. At the age of 45 he won a heavyweight title which was surprising to many because of the belief that he was too old (the average boxing age was 29 at the time) and out of shape. Through his career Foreman had a legendary record with 76 wins and only 5 losses.

One of Foreman’s most impressive fights was his fight against Joe Frazier. This fight really showed people just how powerful Foreman’s hits were. In that bout he got five knockdowns in just two rounds, which was unheard of in that era. In addition to the knock downs, Foreman shot a final uppercut that had so much force that it lifted Frazier off the ground and sent him flying into the canvas, causing a TKO. Foreman had an orthodox fighting stance but often switched to a southpaw stance to confuse the opponent. Foreman also utilized his strength by using his long 6’3 body frame to hit from a distance, and then coming close for powerful finishes.

In addition to a successful boxing career Foreman also succeeded in endorsing cooking grills which he dubbed as "The Lean, Mean, Fat-Reducing, Grill Machine". This endorsement still stands as one of the biggest investments by any athlete. Foreman stated that he made more money endorsing his grills than he did his entire boxing career. The endowment from the grills was estimated to be over $240 million, which statistically was three to four times his overall boxing income. In 1999 a company entitled Salton Inc. bought the selling rights for the grills in exchange for $125.5 million, but a loophole in the deal gave Foreman 60% of the profits from the grills. In 2004 Foreman used his newfound conglomerate identity to help market the retail franchise Big and Tall.
